Agen, a welcoming town on a human scale, invites you to take a stroll through its historic center to meet its emblematic places, such as the Place des Laitiers, the heart of Agen's entertainment, the rue des Cornières and its arcades, the rue Beauville with picturesque half-timbered and corbelled houses, the Saint-Caprais Cathedral and its colorful 19th century frescoes, or the Museum of Fine Arts. Before leaving Agen, a walk on its famous canal bridge is a must.
The surroundings of Agen also offer great prospects for discovery.
Charming villages: the medieval town of Penne-d’Agenais; the hilltop village of Pujols; Auvillar and its grain market; Nérac and its castle of Henri IV; Condom, capital of Armagnac or even Larressingle, the smallest fortified town in France... reveal all their charm.
